한국판 Bayer Activities of Daily Living Scale의 타당도

Validation of the Korean Version of the Bayer Activities of Daily Living Scale

초록

The Bayer-Activities of Daily Living (B-ADL) is a 25 item, informant-rated questionnaire to assess deficits in the performance of everyday activities. The aim of this study is to develop the Korean version of B-ADL and to investigate its reliability and validity. Subjects with Global Deterioration Scale (GDS) score of 1-5 were included. Fifty patients with Alzheimer disease, 31 vascular dementia, four mixed dementia patients and 44 non-demented subjects participated in this study. Their informants familiar with the subjects' everyday activities filled out the B-ADL. The retest of B-ADL was conducted in 26 informants to determine the test-retest reliability which were spanned average 29.8 days. The B-ADL scores negatively cprrelated with the Korean Mini-Mental State Examination (K-MMSE)(r=-0.78). The internal consistency of B-ADL was 0.98. A factor analysis revealed that one factor solution accounted for most of the variance. The B-ADL scores significantly increased between adjacent GDS stages 1 to 5. In identification of subjects with dementia, The B-ADL proved to be as efficient as the K-MMSE. Test-retest reliabilities of B-ADL was significantly high (r=0.95). The Korean version of B-ADL, whose validity and reliability are comparable to those of the original version, may be a reliable and useful tool for measuring functional deficits of Korean dementia patients.
