초록

The hot deformation behavior of SiCp/AA2024 composites with different sizes of SiCp (1, 8, 15, 36, and 44 ㎛) reinforcements was studied by hot torsion tests. For the composites reinforced with SiCp of 8, 15, 36, and 44 ㎛, dynamic recrystallization (DRX) was responsible for the hot restoration at 320 - 480 ℃. Also, for the composite reinforced with SiCp of 1 ㎛ size, dynamic recrystallization (DRX) was responsible for the hot restoration at 320 - 430 ℃, and dynamic recovery (DRV) was responsible for the hot restoration at 480 ℃. The composite reinforced with SiCp of 8 ㎛ showed the highest flow stress (265 MPa) at 320 ℃ and the highest failure strain (3.65) at 480 ℃ under a strain rate of 1.0/sec.
