Analysis of Microstrip Antennas Considering Conductivity of Lossy Metal with IBC-MoM

To analyze a microstrip antenna consisting of a dielectric substrate and lossy metal, we propose a method of moments to consider the zero-thickness impedance boundary condition. The proposed scheme simulates a case where the metal of the microstrip antenna is a perfect electric or imperfect conductor like AgHT-8 metal. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparing simulation results such as directivity, gain, efficiency, and s-parameter with those of the commercial software FEKO and HFSS. © 2023 IEEE.
