A Reconstruction of the Seo Dae Mun Park of Independence in regard of the Metaphoric Sign of Urban Border Condition

Abstract This study intends to suggest a new typology of public space in which the impingement of time and collision situations happen by historical place through three main view point, urban border condition, public space, and dailyness, as main factors leading the transmutation of the city. The first phase to be executed is to discover and reinterpret the authentity of a historic memorial place that now belongs to urban daily life, and then body out its conversion process into the corresponding contexts with a city through a series of scenario. In pursuit of assign these places to the time accumulated places, we must percieve urban historical place as the venue for texts at a place where accomodates various values and continually generates strata of memories by accepting glimpse of new memories that happens at the intersected point with the city. The main purpose of this is to suggest the verificate basis of urban values offered by historicity in its procedure of being moved into the city.
