초록
This study examines the conception of self and parent-child relationships. A total of 1,463 participants (623 students, 842 parents) completed an open-ended survey. When respondents were with their father, the results are as follow: act like a child, comfortable, distance, indebtedness and avoidance. For the item “when I am with my mother” the response are as follows: comfortable, act like a child, filial, have difficulties, converse, and indebtedness. For parents, the responses for “when I am with my child” are as follows: pride, responsibility, frugal, thoughtful, sternness and love. The results confirm a strong a sense of relatedness for parents and children and this is maintained even as children mature to become adolescents and adults.
