초록
In this paper, performance analysis of an OTEC system using the Kalina cycle were carried out. The Kalina cycle utilize an ammonia-water mixture as the working fluid. The evaporator and condenser are modeled via UA and LMTD method while the regenerator is modeled by effectiveness. The absorber is assumed by adiabatic and turbine and pump are assumed by isentropic. Effects of input parameter on the efficiency of the Kalina cycle are clarified by using this study. The efficiency of OTEC cycle using the Kalina cycle can reach up to about 4.75% when the inlet warm sea water temperature of 28C and the inlet cold sea water temperature of 4C. Thermodynamic properties of ammonia-watermixtures were calculated using Engineering Equation Solver.
