Library as a Community Center in the Contemporary Society; Designing a Library in a small Suburban City

What is the function and role of a library in a diversified and decentralized contemporary society and how does a library reflect the digitalized environment? This study attempts to present a new type of local library that acts as community center for the local society and as an interface of information network. The main argument is focused on library design as an interface space. The study discusses a new direction and strategy for library design and eventually presents a local library designed for a real site, City of Paju.
