Multi-Bundle Pipeline Installation Technique Applied to Yong-Jone Island
초록
The paper describes the pipeline design and construction engineering of a bundled submarine pipeline connecting Yongjong airport site to Inchon, Korea. The pipeline consists of three different pipes, 52", 30" and 20". These pipes will provide water, gas and oil to the airport facilities. The 2.4 km submarine pipeline crosses the busiest ship channel in Inchon area where the maximum water depth reaches up to 32 meter from mean sea water level. The construction area is characterized with 9.72 meter tidal range and more than 4 knots current. Having hostile environmental conditions with various pipe specifications for three lines, the design criteira and installation scheme are to be carefully developed. As three pipes have various outside diamteter, wall thickness and coating specifications, pulling all pipes at once requires many engineering considerations. The engineering design of the pipelines for non-symmetric bundle pipes is discussed followed by key aspects of the pipeline installation.
