NIR to LWIR Image Translation for Generating LWIR Image Datasets

This paper proposes a deep learning-based algorithm that converts near-infrared (NIR) images to long-wave infrared (LWIR) images to solve the problem of lack of LWIR datasets. Experimental results qualitatively show excellent translation performance of the proposed method. We hope that this study contributes to various computer vision tasks in the LWIR domain. © 2024 IEEE.
