As teh international broadcasting market expands, format protection has become a grave issue. Regarding format protection, the main question is whether copyright law is applicable. Still majority cases do not affirm copyright infringement in format piracy, but the incidents are increasing where courts finds expession is infringed. The reasoning is usuually based on "total concept and feel" or "originality by combination".
