초록

In this first part of the paper, we will provide a theoretical and conceptual framework for understanding and defining culture. In the second section, we will overview Christian worldview and its influence on Western cultures. In this section, we will examine how science changed the Western worldview and how this knowledge become integrated. In the third section, we will outline how psychological theories and methods have been developed in the USA. In the fourth section, a brief overview of religions and philosophy of Korea will be provided. In the fifth section, we will review the traditional socialization practices and parent-child relationship. Finally, in the sixth section, we will examine how modernization influenced Korea and its influence became assimilated and integrated with Korean culture
