Electromagnetic Properties of the Nucleon in Nuclear Matter

In this talk, we present a recent investigation on the nucleon electromagnetic form factors in free space as well as in nuclear matter, based on the in-medium modified Skyrme model. The results show that the form factors in nuclear matter fall off faster than those in free space, as the momentum transfer increases. We study the changes in the nucleon internal structure due to medium effects and discuss the distortion effects in transverse charge densities of the in-medium nucleons.
