초록
Bioactive glass is one of the most promising implant material due to its superior bonding behavior to a living tissue. The titanium metal is most widely used as an implant material due to its high strength and good biocompatibility. In this study, therefore, a bioactive glass was coated on a titanium metal by using double layer coating method. Good adhesion of glass to the metal was obtained when the undercoat was heat-treated at 850℃∼900℃ for 3-10 minutes in Ar atmosphere. Bioacticve glass was applied on the 1st coat at 850℃ for 3 minutes, and hydroxyapatite was developed on the cover coat when reacted in a simulated body fluid in 12hrs.
