The factor analysis affecting drug efficiency in schizphrenic patients

Risperidone has been one of the most common antipschotics in Korea of late. Many factors can affect the efficiencyof drug, but we have actually few data about that information. To evaluate what factor affects the drug, we analyzed the post-marketing survey data of rispridone collected throughout 4 years. Five thousand three hundred and fifteen patients diagnosed to be schizophrenia were singled out and examined depending on many kinds of variants. Univatiate and multivariate analysis were used to identify factors which can affect the efficiency of risperidone. The mean age of subjects was 32.3 years odl.male was 52.3 percents. The mean initial dose of our data started from 2.4mg, that has changed into 4.6mg. 4.5mg in 4th, 6th weeks. Clinical global impression score at 8th weeks showed that 19.2% of surveyed data was " not ill" and 36.4% was 'very mild". Our data may give clinician tentative guideline that efficiency of risperidone can change depending on subtype of schizophrenia.
