도시공간에서 돌발적 보이드와 치유전략으로서의 도시공간 수렴화에 대한 연구

초록

The notion of community became extinct in the modern city due to decentralization and urban sprawl. Furthermore, the urban infrastructure system such as production, consumption, and transportation network of the city became the framework of urban space organization under the influences of Globalization, and the city itself as urban spaces has been fragmentized. This study intends to investigate the conceptual approach of “urban convergence” in order to devise continuity of urban spaces and cityscape by re-converging the isolated communities from the global urban development, and create new urban community through the connection to the existing communities. In particular, the thesis also attempts to establish the conceptual motif of urban space reconstruction derived from implied meaning of convergency in Chinese character “연(緣)” and execute substantial case studies and design project.
