초록
In this research, the relation between bow flare shapes and green water phenomenon on the bow deck of ship is studied using experimental and numerical methods. The prototype of 140,000 DWT FPSO is used for the object hull form of the present research. Varying the ship’s bow flare angle, experiments and numerical simulations have been performed. The incident waves are regular type. The wave heights are 1.0~2.0 times of freeboard and the wave lengths are 0.8~1.2 times of LBP. The wave heights and the pressure on the deck are measured through the experiments. Stationary fixed, and heave/pitch free conditions are applied on the models. The experiments are performed in the ship model basin of Inha university. The model ship is free to heave and pitch while set fixed for the other ship motions. For the numerical calculations, Navier-Stokes equations and continuity equation are used as governing equations. The equations are solved by finite difference method in rectangular staggered grid system. The heave and pitch motions of ship model are numerically analyzed by adding body force to Navier-Stokes equations without regenerating the grid system in this computation. The positions of nonlinear free-surfaces are determined by the Marker-density method.
