초록
A double split tee connection displays different behavior characteristics and failure mode according to influences such as the thickness of the T-stub, the gauge distance of the high strength bolt, and the diameter and number of high strength bolts. In a double split tee connection, which is subjected to cyclic loads, the T-stub is assumed to resist flexural moments, on the other hand, the shear tab is assumed to resist shear loads. However, when devising medium-to-low story steel structures by selecting a double split tee connection, it may be difficult to install a shear tab by selecting a small-scale plan having a beam element with a relatively small depth. Accordingly, this study has been conducted to propose the details of a connection to allow a double split tee connection to have sufficient shear resisting capacity by being applied in medium-to-low story steel structures. To achieve this, a three-dimensional non-linear finite-element analysis was conducted on the double split tee connection.
