초록

The study intends to examine Iranian Embassy and residence in Korea designed by Farhad Ahmadi and completed in 2003 and to explore a strategy of Critical Regionalism in architecture acquired when indigenous regional tectonic idea is grafted into an alien environment. The main argument is focused on how one creates an architecture that is not estranged from the abode country but adapt itself to circumstances as a suitable text. Accordingly, this study focuses on illumination of Iranian architecture and its conceptual basis by featuring the embassy building's programs both in general and particular than emphasizes the tradition of Iranian architecture and Persia or their cultural values. In particular, the study attempts to find interpretations of another dimension about creation of tradition and cultural values by architecture in an architect's view derived from an unscientific and obscure cultural origin rather than in some programmatic view of creative routes of design. keywords: Iranian embassy , Regionalism , Obscure , Stratrgy
