Numerical Analysis on the Electrical and Optical Properties of Green Phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Diode

A numerical study on the electronic-optical properties of the phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) devices is presented. In order to calculate the electrical and optical properties, the finite element method (FEM) is applied for numerical analysis in PHOLEDs. Our model includes Poisson’s equation, continuity equation to account for behavior of electrons and holes and the exciton continuity/transfer equation to account for generation and decay of the exciton. We also utilize the Maxwell equation for optical analysis such as reflectance, transmittance and absorbance.
