초록
This paper describes the relationship between machining time(MT) and cycle time(CT) in a cellular manufacturing system, The system produce part family by some automated machines. In case MTs for any individual machines are less than the CT, no machine will delay the cycle time and the worker. Thus, the mix of parts in the family can be changed without disturbing the production rate, as long as CT is greater than MT. It should not be necessary to rebalance the task for each part in the family. In case the MT for one process is greater than the required CT for the cell, We also propose a efficient method to operate process in the cell.
