초록

A mathematical model of parallel flow condensers used in automotive air conditioning system has been developed for the prediction of their performance under operationg conditions. The -NTU method is used and the pressure drop of the refrigerant is considered. The model developed is based on the application of fluid flow and heat transfer equations to the heat exchanger geometries. Fluid thermo physical properties have been introduced in the model for the refrigerant HFC134a. An airside heat transfer and pressure drop correlation has also been included in the condenser model. Correlations for the single-phase and two-phase frictional, local pressure drops and momentum changes of refrigerant flow through the condenser have been used. The agreement between the model results and experimental data is shown to be good.
