Comprehensive Investigation and Assessment of Korean National Productivity Management System

Purpose: This paper aims to find Korean firms’ characteristics in terms of the productivity management practice in order to provide managerial implications. Through extensive investigation, we find (1) leadership’s indirect effects on ‘Management Performance’, and (2) which factors among ‘Customer and Market Management’and ‘Process Management’ influence “Management Performance”. Lastly ‘Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management’ play an important role in quality management. Methodology/Approach: As based on responses from around 221 manufacturing firms between 2013 and 2016, the structural equation modeling is performed to examine the relationship among the factors embedded in the Productivity Management System.
