초록

A novel process called URC has been developed to reduce pollutants discharges by optimizing the coagulation-settling processes with the economically compact reactor. This process consisted of lamella, which can increase an upflow velocity by 20 m3/m2/hr in conjunction with the weighted additives. Lamella was geometrically designed to optimize in speeding up the settling velocity with enhanced removal efficiency. Under these conditions, phosphorus can be reduced by as high as 85%, while BOD was removed ranging from 50-90%. In the long run, URC process can be implemented in two ways reducing pollution loads entering into the Sihwa lake. The one is to construct a reserved lake and PEP in the mouth of lake for coming 10 years. The other is to install an unit process treating river and rain water run-off.
