테트라부틸암모늄플루오라이드를 이용한 방향족 알데히드의 산화반응

초록

Generally, tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) was used as a deprotecting agent of a sillyl group, a fluoride source, and a base. We found that the reaction of p-nitrobenzaldehyde with TBAF gave quantitatively p-nitrobenzoic acid. Under similar reaction conditions, other aromatic aldehydes afforded acids along with alcohols. The reaction mechanism will be discussed.
