초록

The detection of impulsive sound and vibration signals using the sliced Wigner fourth order time frequency method (SWFOTFM) has been used for the detection of the faults in gear and the car engine. However, the SWFOTFM for the impulsive signals with multi-components at the same frequencies but different times suffer from its non-oscillating cross-terms. This non-oscillating cross-terms cannot be smoothed by the conventional kernel functions. In this paper, the g-method to reduce the non-oscillation cross-terms is developed and applied to the analysis of faults in gear
