Internet of Aquatic Powered by an Efficient Cross-Layer Technique in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

The Internet of Aquatic (IoA) is a future vision for environmental connection that is supported by Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs). This is similar to the way an Internet of Things (IoT) on land is supported by Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). IoA needs to be powered by suitable cross-layer mechanisms in submerged lossy networks. IoA-UWSN is a technological rung on the ladder that allows people to access and explore unmanned environments. Academics and researchers now view this impression as having an equivalent significance to the IoT-WSN for an uncountable number of reasons. Out of all the things that we have yet to explore on this planet, the ocean and other underwater environments takes up a large majority of that space. Even still, there are only certain fundamental factors that have been studied. Human exploration has a lot to do with underwater environments, but we lack the technology to properly investigate and monitor these areas until now. IoA-UWSN is the only resource that can lead to accomplishing the requirement for proper oceanic and underwater exploration. IoA would aid in the investigation and monitoring of the oceans and other undersea environments, much like IoT assists in taking control of the Terrestrial environment. UWSN, which is the fundamental technology for IoA, necessitates effective communication to properly function. The proposed Efficient Cross-Layer Technique (ECLT) overcomes the limitations of traditional layered architectural protocols by cross-layering physical layer characteristics to produce a redundant TDMA schedule at the MAC layer. The experimental results we expect will show that the proposed strategy outperforms existing popular methods. © 2022 IEEE.
