서해안에 적합한 해류 발전 시스템

초록

From the recent studies of current power generation system conducted actively in the several countries, it has been confirmed that the system is not only practical but also very economical where there is strong current. The west costal region of Korea is characterized as a high tidal range with strong current that has an ideal environment for tidal and current power generation. However tidal power generation has many difficulties for application since it requires high initial capital and severly disturbs environment conditions. The paper presents the ocean current power generation system being different from ordinary tidal power system. The basic principals and applications are introduced with a recommendation of suitable system for the west coast of Korea. Also the experimental results of current power generation system are introduced.
