Augmented reality coupled with IoT platform for smart operation & maintenance (O&M)

초록

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the application of augmented reality for smart plant O & M and the technical issues for O & M in the plant. First of all, I would like to talk about the issues of Augmented Reality technology itself such as markerless object detection, 3D space registration, object tracking without marker, object rendering, and user interaction. Augmented reality technology for plant O & M has many problems to solve. I would like to talk about the issues that arise from using 3D models as augmented reality contents for Plant O & M. Issues such like augmented reality coupled with IoT, using lightweight model in the rendering engine of augmented reality, interworking of sensor network,intelligent contents through knowledge based system are presented. Secondly, the plant O & M application of these technologies, especially the definition of smart connected AR and Active Link technology for plant O & M are presented. And also the results of the augmented reality system implementation is demonstrated.
