A Hierarchical Aircraft Landing Model for Detection of Aircraft Hard-Landing

초록

In this work, a hierarchical aircraft landing model is constructed in order to develop a rational and affordable hard landing detection procedure. Of course, one may carry out full nonlinear structural dynamic simulation in order to investigate the structural behavior resulting from landing. However, this nonlinear approach is highly time-consuming approach, considering the goal of simulation is to detect the location of severe structural loading, not to predict the quantity of damage. In other words, full nonlinear structural dynamic analysis is not a practical approach to detect aircraft hard landing. In structural point of view, linear analysis is sufficient. However, in landing analysis, it becomes difficult to directly apply the conventional linear structural dynamic analysis method because of the rigid body motion accompanying aircraft landing behavior.
