Global analysis of gene expression profiles in bladder with persistent detrusor overactivity in a modified bladder outlet obstruction and deligation rat model using cDNA microarrays

Conclusions: Our results suggest that the changes of gene expression profiles after mBOO were partially normalized in the PDO+ group, but more severely changed in the BDO (-) group compared to sham group. Thus, the PDO after deligation may be the inherent default reaction of the bladder as a plasticity in order to shift the balance toward the normal condition pathophysiologically, even though this is the main cause of bothersomeness and hospital visits to the patient clinically.
