Investigation of Ehd1, A grass-specific flowering activator in rice
초록
The phase transition from vegetative growth to reproductive growth is one of the most important biological processes contributing to grain yield in rice. Under inductive conditions, florigens (Hd3a and RFT1) are induced by Ehd1, a grass-specific master activator, to achieve flowering in rice. Most of the flowering signals are ultimately integrated into Ehd1, suggesting that this protein acts as a signal integrator in the flowering pathway in rice. Therefore, further research on the role of Ehd1 is needed to understand how rice precisely regulates flowering time under different environmental conditions. In this study, we focused on how the Ehd1 protein regulates flowering time in rice and how this protein activity is controlled.
