상호문화 실천의 개념 및 내용에 관한 연구-초점집단토론(FGD) 방법을 중심으로-

초록

The purpose of this study is to establish a theory of intercultural practice as an alternative to the current situation, which is rapidly changing into a multiracial and multicultural society, and to conduct basic research to achieve coexistence and integration. In this study, in order to define the concept and content of intercultural practice, a focus group discussion (FGD) method was used to reflect the opinions of nine domestic multicultural and intercultural experts to establish the concept. Data collection was conducted through e-mail consultation and expert group discussions. As a result of the study, the concept of mutual cultural practice could be defined as “a social act seeking a coexistent society through mutual active communication and reflection based on recognition and respect for cultural diversity.” In terms of contents, domains were divided into individual, social, and transnational dimensions, and major concepts for each domain were explained. This study is significant in that it is the first study to attempt to define the concept of cross-cultural practice in Korea. We hope that this concept will be further elaborated and expanded through more research and debate on the concept of practice.
