초록
A full wireless sensor network (WSN) within a vehicle environment, which transmits wireless sensor control and data signals, is named as intra-vehicle WSN (IVWSN). The IVWSNs provide part cost, assembly, maintenance savings, and fuel efficiency through elimination of wires. Although a full adoption of an IWWSN may not be feasible in the near future, it is a promising new research area. Some IVWSNs channel models have been investigated based on ultra-wide band (UWB) communication, which is considered as the most suitable technology for IVWSNs. To design a reliable and feasible IVWSN communication system, we analyze the system performance of IVWSNs based on the recently measured IVWSN channel models, especially for chassis scenario. The performance evaluation of IVWSNs is investigated in IR-UWB, OFDM, and single carrier block transmission with frequency domain equalization system structures, and some insightful findings have been provided for the feasibility studies of IVWSNs.
