Development of virtual test simulation for engine forklift operation mode

It is essential to analyze the dynamic behavior of the standard forklift according to the various working mode. Especially, analysis for the vibration of the mast end is necessary, because it is the main cause of the dynamic load generated in the cylinder and the linkage part during the lifting operation. In this study, the development and validation of virtual test simulation for lifting operation mode are presented. A full range of the dynamic model is considered in SIMCENTER 3D Motion, and the hydraulic circuit of the cylinders is modeled using AMESIM. For a performance of the simulation, the contacts in the mast assembly are considered to describe pitch vibration of the mast. A vehicle test is performed, and the local acceleration in the x-direction of the inner mast, hydraulic pressure in the main control valve are measured to compare with the simulation. It is verified that both dynamic and hydraulic simulation have similar tendencies with the test data.
