초록

CARLA simulator is an open source simulator for autonomous driving research and is easy to construct a virtual environment of urban driving systems such as urban composition and autonomous driving situations. Recently, research on a connected car environment that controls autonomous driving for a large number of vehicles using cloud edge is being activated. In this paper, we implemented a client module of the CARLA simulator that collects and transmits a wide variety of image and scalar data such as vehicle, pedestrian, and road information to build a connected car environment and transmits it to the edge server. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that the transmission time is 127 msec in addition to the image data, and the scalar data is 43 msec.
