Comparison and Evaluation for the Performance of Airport Re-development Plan: in Case of Seoul Gimpo Airport

This paper presents a comparison and evaluation for the alternative options for re-development of airport idle facilities as a planning concern and the implemented options for airport re-development plan as a performance aspect in case of Seoul Gimpo International Airport. The methodology proposed in this paper can provide a practical and applicable comparison and evaluation of airport re-development plan. The evaluation had carried out several years before, based on customers’ perception such as airport experts, passengers, and peripheral community, when airport re-development plan had not been completed. The measurement of actual implementation for the airport re-development plans can be compared with the best option by related customers’ perception. Therefore, this paper had tried to compare the best options by customers’ perception with actual implemented re-developing facilities during the first three years of Gimpo Airport after inauguration of new airport.
