Novel Design of Polarization Splitter based on a Quasi-State Multimode Interference Coupler

초록

A polarization splitter based on the multimode interference (MMI) and the birefringence of photodefinable polyimide is designed and fabricated. The concept of ‘quasi-states’ formed by four-mode interference is proposed to reduce the length of splitter.
