초록

An external wavelength locker with thin film etalon fiter was analyzed to estimate the sensitivity of alignment using Code V. And the result of analysis was compared with experimental data. The external wavelength locker consists of a temperature-compensated Fabry-Perot etalon, splitter, two photodiode and optical collimator to lock the wavelength of a laser diode. These are co-packaged in a 7 pin butterfly module. An electrical circuit is applied to detect the variation of photodiode current and also to control the temperature of a laser diode. The device shows that the tuning accuracy of a packaged wavelength locker is less than +/-0.02nm.
