Interest in Korean culture has increased with a growth in Korea's cultural influence, both domestically and internationally, driving the development of various cultural products. There is a particular demand in the fashion realm, but the existing diversity of available products is lacking. This study analyzed scarf products from renowned institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum (34 scarves), Metropolitan Museum of Art (70 scarves), National Palace Museum (5 scarves), and National Museum of Korea (18 scarves). The goal was to compare and evaluate the shape, size, material, color, and pattern of the scarves to identify potential improvements to scarf product offerings in domestic art shops. The findings revealed significant differences between the scarf designs of domestic and foreign museum art shops. Foreign shops favored longer scarves, whereas domestic shops focused more on square and larger scarves. Price disparities among similar products highlight the need for price adjustments. Therefore, it is imperative to enhance material diversity by utilizing local specialty fabrics. Additionally, promoting diverse patterns inspired by famous Korean painters or Hangul features can produce unique and competitive products. This study provides valuable insights by examining scarf products across global museum art shops, offering insights into specific product enhancements. Future research should include comprehensive surveys, design recommendations,effective marketing strategies, and policy initiatives to foster the growth and branding of museum art shops.
