시료채취 및 지형답사에 의한 철도선로상의 동상원인 고찰

초록

In order to investigate the frost heave of railroad track, soil samples from four different areas where frost heave happened were taken. To know the reason of frost heave, soil properties and variations of the thermal conductivities with unit weight, water contents were investigated. As results of tests, all samples had high possibilities of frost heaving. Moreover the occurrence of frost heave on a culvert in which no drainage facilities are installed seemed due to inflow of water together with fine-grained soil caused by flood in summer. On the slab of the both culvert and bridge with short span, water were not totally drained because of no facilities for drainage so it causes frost heave during winter. Therefore, it is important not only to install the insulation material but also installation of drainage system even at small span of bridge of at the slab of a culvert.
