Electromagnetic properties of the nucleon in matter

초록

We investigate the electromagnetic form factors of the in-medium nucleons within the framework of the in-medium modified chiral soliton model. The results show that the form factors of the nucleons in nuclear matter fall off faster than those in free space, as the momentum transfer increases. As a result, the charge radii of the nucleon become larger as a function of the density. We also calculated the transverse charge densities in the in-medium nucleon, which indicate that the size of the nucleon tends to bulge out in nuclear matter.
