POM/MICOM inter-comparison in modeling the East Sea

There are many types of numerical model which have been applied to the East Sea. To outline characteristics of each type of model and evaluate them in applying to the East Sea, model intercomparison is necessary. As a first step, we compare here POM and MICOM. Merits and drawbacks of these models are discussed.
