Evaluation of the Energy Dissipation Capacity of a Double Split Tee Connection with T-stubs Made of SN Steel

초록

The double split tee connection having the same stiffness ratio of columns and beams demonstrates different energy dissipation capacities depending on the change in the geometric shape of the T-stub. In this case, the use of the T-stub in applying the steel with excellent seismic performance is determined to further improve the energy dissipation capacity of a double split tee connection. In this regard, this study was carried out to fabricate the T-stub by utilizing SN steel with excellent seismic performance, and to identify changes in the energy dissipation capacity of a double split tee connection with a relatively larger ′ value, a geometric shape variable of the T-stub. Towards this end, two double split tee connection specimens designed to change ′ value referring to a geometric shape variable of the T-stub fabricated with SN steel were planned, and then an experiment on the connection was performed.
