Factors Influence on the Share of Services in International Trade: Focus on Mongolia and Chinese Taipei

This paper analyzes the factors influence on the share of services in international trade focusing on Mongolia and Taiwan. While Chinese Taipei is staying as a part of East Asian countries leading the services in international trade, Mongolia has boosted its trade by joining WTO since 1997. Qualitative method is used to build a theoretical framework which can provide the boundaries for this study and its position within the context of services and perspective of international trade. Through the analysis, the share of services is determined to be sensitive to the multiple factors: technological development, liberalization of the processes, privatization and deregulation, and entrance of foreign investors to the service markets.
