Organic synthesis and its applications

초록

A seminal total synthesis of natural product can occur various applications including synthesis and SAR study of the natural product derivatives. One trendy application of cytotoxic natural product is antibody-drug-conjugate (ADC). Since ADC has both selectivity part (antibody) and cell-killer part (toxin), it’s been intensively investigated to achieve new generation anticancer drug with no side effect from unselective cytotoxicity. Herein, we will discuss about a total synthesis project shortly and then discuss about another ADC project. B(C6F5)3 catalyzed hydrosilylation of unsaturated bonds including heteroarenes has been reported recently. Its unusually powerful reactivity enabled us to apply this chemistry to polymer synthesis as well as silacycle synthesis. Carboboration of an unactivated alkene had been a challenging problem in organic chemistry. After the seminal Ni catalyzed arylboration of an unactivated alkene in 2017, we could expand the chemistry to alkylboration starting from benzylboration.
