술전비용과 비내시경 수술 후 비용화된 점막에서의 gamma interferon의 발현양상

초록

Gamma interferon is cytokine which plays an important role in chronic inflammatory process. In nasal polyps and postoperative polypoid mucosa after endoscopic sinus surgery, chnages in expression of gamma interferon was assessed to identify its role in the formation of nasal polyps and mucosal healing after surgery. Nasal polyp and polypoid mucosa were obtained during surgery and in outpatient clinic after the surgery, respectively. Immunohistochemical staining was performed. Gamma interferon in highly expressed in the epithelium, submucosal glands and eosinophils of nasal polyps. On the other hand, the expression of gamma interferon was gradually decreased after surgery. These results suggest that gamma interferon may play a significant role in the formation of nasal polyps and in decreases during the process of mucosal healing after surgery
