Shear-force imaging of human hair cuticle damaged by an acid solution

초록

In this study, the detailed surface profile of human hair cuticle was observed with shear-force microscope before and after being damaged by the acid buffer solution. It was known from variation of its surface state that the degree of damaging hair cuticle was roughly proportional to acidity of the solution.
