A Hardware Design of a Low-power Video Recording System

A reduction of the power consumption in a mobile video recording system is important because of limited battery capacity. This paper proposes a hardware design of a low-power video recording system that implements both H.264/AVC and light weight video compression (LWC). The gate count and the power consumption of the proposed video recording system are 1,415 Kgates and 196.712 mW, respectively.
