초록

The performance of a gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) was analyzed when co-firing natural gas, hydrogen, and ammonia. Three operational strategies were applied during co-firing: maintaining the turbine inlet temperature (TIT), surge margin, and GTCC power at the same level as the design point. This study derived an operating window that ensured the performance and operational stability of the gas turbine during co-firing by applying and analyzing the corresponding operational strategies. When the TIT was maintained at a level identical to the design point, the GTCC efficiency varied by -0.1 %p to 1.9 %p, and the surge margin varied by -8.8 %p to 0 %p compared to the design point. Second, the GTCC efficiency varied by -1.09 %p to 0.86 % p compared to the design point when the surge margin was maintained at a level identical to the design point. Lastly, when the GTCC power output was maintained at a level of the design point, the surge margin varied by -4.5 to 0 %p, and the GTCC efficiency varied by -0.08 to 0.88 %p compared to the design point. Finally, this study identified the operating window where GTCC efficiency improved while complying with the CO2 emission regulation of the EU taxonomy, regardless of which operational strategy is applied.
