Simulation of Wide Viewing Angle Characteristic in Simple Mode LCD using Different Rubbing Direction

ulti-domain technology in two simple mode cells. In order to implement multi domain, we designed a VA and ECB mode cell which has different rubbing directions in unit cell. Optical characteristics are calculated by a numerical simulator(TechWiz LCD) and compared with that of PVA mode. The simula-tion results revealed that the proposed cells have wide viewing angle characteristic exactly like that of PVA mode.
